Spectra Counselling acknowledges that not everyone has the ability to afford mental health support, and that the Australian health care system often forces people to see a practitioner that is a wrong fit for their needs. For individuals of varying income levels, Spectra offers a sliding scale, ensuring that our services remain accessible to a diverse clientele. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment that accommodates the unique financial circumstances of each individual exploring mental health assistance.
To be more accessible to a broader spectrum of people, Spectra Counselling offers a limited number of counselling sessions at a reduced concession rate. Though we are unable to offer the health care rebate, we hope the reduction in price makes us accessible to some people who wouldn’t normally be able to afford the types of counselling we offer. If you’re planning on having counselling long term, Jenna’s rate is often more affordable than a psychologist, whose fees can radically jump when the Medicare rebate runs out after ten sessions.
If you have a concession card, or know that you’d be unable to afford counselling without the concession rate, please make a note of it when reaching out on the contact page — concession spaces are limited though so there is often a longer wait for a concession spot.
Despite ongoing legislative efforts, PACFA Registrants are not GST-exempt, and as such, all fees have a 10% GST cost included.
